Lauren Dowling is an abstract artist, graphic designer, and Synesthete. She uses bright colors and bold designs to create pieces tailored to the people she meets daily.

Lauren has loved the arts since she was a young girl. She’s obsessed with bright colors, and the art of abstract and contrast art. Lauren has Synesthesia, which is a phenomenon that causes sensory crossovers. Some describe it as having “wires crossed” in their brain because it activates two or more senses when there’s only a reason for one sense to activate. Lauren has “personality-color” Synesthesia. Personality-color is a relatively rare type of Synesthesia where a color perception is triggered by the personality of people the Synesthete sees or meets for the first time. Lauren uses her Synesthesia to design pieces specific to an individual’s color palette. She thrives on the art of surprise and often designs pieces while out in the community, traveling, or in other areas where she can donate the art piece to the individual, hoping to add more kindness and color to the world.
