This House of Books

This House of Books will be hosting artist Sonya Smith. Sonya is a Billings-based photographer and the founder of Driftwood & Dust Creative LLC, whose work centers on visual storytelling. With a background in journalism and environmental studies, she believes the best stories are shaped by grit, place, and presence. Photographing across Montana, Utah, Iceland, and beyond, Sonya is driven by a deep love for wild places and authentic storytelling.  Through her lens, she explores the connection between people, place, and the experiences that shape them. Her work captures the moments where landscape, effort, and story come together.

About This House of Books:

The Billings Bookstore Cooperative has a very simple mission: Build an independent full-service bookstore in downtown Billings and turn it into a literary & cultural hub for the city. Using the cooperative model means that we give book lovers a chance to own a piece of the store and participate in its success. Our store is in the heart of downtown Billings, convenient to the Billings Library, Rocky Mountain College, MSU Billings, the Alberta Bair Theater, and other literary and artistic destinations.
