Visible Vault at Yellowstone Art Museum

(YAM) Visible Vault  located at 505 North 26th Street,ArtWalk at the Yellowstone Art Museum’s Visible Vault on April 3rd, 2026 Meet YAM’s new Artist-in-Residence, Canon Parker who will be in the studio in the Visible Vault from 5 – 8 pm. Parker is a multidisciplinary artist based in Billings, MT. His work examines the liminal architectures of belief, defying certainty through a diverse range of traditional and experimental media. Museum admission is FREE to everyone during ArtWalk!

The Visible Vault houses the largest permanent collection of contemporary art in the region. Approximately 7,500 works of art are preserved along with thousands of sketches, photographs, correspondence, and other archival materials. The Visible Vault also houses the Gary and Melissa Oakland Artist-in-Residence Studio and the Glass Classroom, where we currently have an Artist-in-Residence, Kevin Harris, and Writer-in-Residence, Anne Holub. Museum visitors are encouraged to tour the Vault and meet Artist-in-Residence anytime the Museum is open. A map to the Vault and a key card can be picked up at the front desk. Starting today and happening every Thursday from 1 – 4 PM, Kevin Harris will be working with a live clothed model. Feel free to pop in and see Kevin at work during your tour of the Visible Vault
