Barjon’s Books

For the December ArtWalk we will be hosting artist Eric Jensen. His artistic practice is a celebration and acknowledgment of the animist reality of the natural world. This body of work was inspired by his desire to commune with nature on a deeper level. These lands and the beings within are active participants in an interconnected web of consciousness and meaning. He aims to challenge the notion that nature is an unconscious entity and instead portray it as a dynamic and intelligent force. Through this approach, he hopes to push back against colonial mindsets that presently and historically objectify and idealize landscapes, reducing them to mere resources for exploitation.
