Teresa Brown
Art has been a major faction of my life starting when after I took an oil painting class from a
neighbor when I was 10. I grew up in Billings Montana and moved around a bit settling back in
Billings almost 30 years ago.
I began to focus full time on my art in 2017. I left a long career in the floral industry and needed
something to keep my busy. I discovered alcohol inks and fell in love with their vibrancy and
how they can be manipulated and yet let them remain loose and free. I currently work with oils,
acrylics and alcohol inks.
I believe so strongly in challenging myself and constantly finding and learning new ways and
new things to keep my art fresh and remain fun.
I am a contributor and instructor through The Alcohol Ink Art Community as well as a teacher at
Crooked Line Studio. Sharing what I have learned gives me encouragement and confidence in
my own work and I love it when a student finds their voice and their way through the art.
